Eye Associates is delighted to welcome Professor Jonathan Crowston to our team of doctors.
Jonathan is a world-renowned ophthalmologist and glaucoma subspecialist. He has returned to Australia from Duke University in Singapore to take up a newly created position at Sydney University. Previously he was Professor of Ophthalmology at Melbourne University, Director of the Centre for Eye Research Australia Head of Ophthalmology at the University of Melbourne and Head of the Glaucoma Service at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.
He completed his ophthalmology training at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, a PhD at UCL and a fellowship and early faculty experience from University California San Diego.
Jonathan has a very active research interest in glaucoma cell biology and neuroprotection and devised the world-famous Vitamin B3 glaucoma study. He has published many papers and text book and is a keynote speaker at many international meetings.
He has extensive experience in tertiary referral glaucoma practice with good international insights into the diagnosis and management of glaucoma.
